For our second year of cultural activities: something new!
Pumpkins have long been part of the traditional Indigenous diet, and who doesn’t love pie? You can see the joy the kids and families had in making and eating this special treat.
We were pleased to have Elder Ellen Cook start off the session with a video message about her childhood, eating from the land in Grand Rapids, Manitoba. You can watch her teachings on our YouTube channel.
Everyone had a great time and we hope you’ll join us for future events this year! Next week is our Bannock Pizza workshop with another dance workshop to follow.
