The Girl Guides’ vision, "A better world, by girls," truly resonates with us.
We were warmly welcomed by the 3rd Carleton Place Embers (ages 7-8) to share our Métis cultural awareness workshop. Their leaders emphasized the importance of learning directly from other youth, and the girls embraced the experience with enthusiasm.
Their curiosity about our culture was genuine, and despite never having tried jigging before, they eagerly learned the basic steps—and had a great time doing so! The bannock we brought to share was a hit, and we deeply enjoyed the time spent together.
