Our first workshop of 2024 was another workshop for Educational Assistants at the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. Last year was a hybrid event. This year was fully in-person attendance!
Once again, we were pleased to welcome Elder Louella Tobias of Delaware Nation. She opened the session with a teaching about dance and beading as medicine. Then, we taught staff to make beaded pins in orange shirt or red dress designs.
We also took the opportunity to fund-raise for Youth4Youth Canada, our parent organization which funds Kisac and Talk Overdose.
