Another new activity for 2023!
We were pleased to have Elder Senator Parm Burgie start off the session with a talk, then accept our invitation to join us for the two workshops today!
Our frybread workshop last year was a big hit, so we thought we’d share our take on Indigenous pizza! Everyone was provided ingredients to make and knead their own bannock dough, then were encouraged to add any combination of tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, mozzarella, paremesan, mushrooms, bell peppers, chicken, and pepperoni.
Because we were sharing the ovens with another cooking group, we baked 4 pizzas to share among the attendees, and everyone was allowed to take home the pizzas they made to bake and enjoy at home!
Everyone had a fun experience and we hope you’ll join us for future events this year!
