An encore of our bannock workshop last week!
With no storm this time, we had a great turnout for our second workshop - more families and youth joined us in making bannock together. Samples of freshly made bannock were available for all to enjoy.
Elder Danka Brewer unexpectedly took ill and was unable to share her teachings with us this week. Although her presence was missed, there were a number of eager youth who’d never made bannock, so each of us joined a table and had a great time teaching, laughing, and making bannock with our group! Since all workshop supplies and equipment were free, the only thing our participants needed to bring was enthusiasm.
A great time was had by all, and we hope you’ll join us for future events this year! Thanks to the Odawa Native Friendship Centre for inviting us to host these opening sessions using their facilities.
