Our second Beading Workshop of the season saw some new attendees who had never beaded before!
Elder Louella Tobias opened the workshop, then we sat down to start creating! Our volunteer instructors were on hand to guide participants through the crafting of the project of their choice — a pair of earrings, red dress, medicine wheel, or orange shirt.
While working, we enjoyed pizza, snacks and conversation and we watched Indian Horse, the story of a young Canadian First Nations boy who survives the residential school system to become a minor league hockey player.
It was a great afternoon together and we hope you’ll join us on Sunday for our Frybread Workshop!
