Family and kinship ties are at the heart of Métis culture.
Cultural traditions and practices are passed down through the generations by our ancestors. In honour of Father’s Day, our youth decided to recognize important patriarchal influences in their lives by giving them a personalized floral dot art masterpiece as symbol of love and gratitude.
We also took time to practice our jigging steps. You never know when we'll have an opportunity to perform! Our thanks to Senator Parm Burgie for spending the day with us!
