Learning Through Music, Dance, and Culture

Learning Through Music, Dance, and Culture

We had a wonderful time visiting Eardley Elementary School in Gatineau, Quebec to present our Y4Y Canada / Kîšâc Métis Culture and Jigging Workshop!

During two sessions, we shared Métis history and culture with younger and older students through music, dance, and storytelling. Students learned some basic Métis jigging steps, explored our traditions, and enthusiastically joined in throughout the workshops.

Thank you to the students and staff at Eardley Elementary School for making us feel so welcome. We always appreciate the opportunity to share our culture and connect with young people through hands-on learning. We hope you enjoyed the bannock!
