We’re grateful to have been invited to share Métis dance as performers at the Indigenous Women’s Arts Conference 2022.
We danced for two shows on stage at the Canadian Museum of History, and two more at St. Laurent Centre.
Between dances, we invited children from the audience to learn a few basic steps. Just under a dozen little ones joined us on the dance floor over the course of our Saturday and Sunday performances.
We’re happy to take pictures with anyone who wants to remember these special days together. If you see us at future performances, don’t be shy! Just ask!
We also spent some time fundraising for Kisac and Talk Overdose with an Indigenous chocolate sale in support of our parent organization, Youth4Youth Canada. We hand-make these chocolates in our own home using fresh ingredients and no preservatives!
Thanks to everyone who supported us, told us to ‘keep the change’, or just made a donation. Kinanâskomitin!
