Our first workshop of the season was a great success!
After opening the workshop with Elder Marie-Louise Perron, attendees got hands-on experience crafting our traditional bannock recipe — with the option of making a blueberry version, a cinnamon swirl version, or both.
After creating two batches to ’take and bake’ at home, we enjoyed snacks and watched The Grizzlies , the story of a remote Inuit community whose lives are transformed when the youth are introduced to the sport of lacrosse. We weren’t able to finish because of the length of the bannock prep, but we will have a second showing at our workshop next Sunday and begin with plenty of time to spare.
A great time was had by all, and we hope you’ll join us next Sunday for our Beading Workshop!
